Who We Are:
We are a team of people that reach out to those in need within our church family based on Galatians 6:10 – “Therefore as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.”
We acknowledge that life can be a struggle at times and pose unexpected challenges that may be difficult to handle on our own. CARE exists to stand in the gap for people when they are in need of spiritual and practical support after Isaiah 61:1 – “He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.”
Care For Shut-ins and People in Crisis
Meals / Visitations – provided to our church families during times of crisis (due to illness, hospitalization, job loss, or other difficult times.)
Because “God can be best known through His work”, we at CARE want everyone to know that a helping hand, a warm smile, a hot meal or a simple “I care” is just a call away. If you or someone you know is in need of a helping hand, contact our confidential Care Ministry.
The BFMC Community Board – “Serving in Christ’s Love”
This bulletin board in our foyer provides an effective way in which our church family can meet each others needs:
- “Give ‘n Take” – This is a free program at BFMC with the intention that money never exchanges hands. If you are in need of something or have something to give away, we encourage you to share it with your church family by advertising it in the Give ‘n Take!
- BFMC Business Directory – Looking for a business or a service and want to deal with someone you know and trust? Pick up a BFMC Business Directory. It’s a listing of the businesses and services of those who call BFMC home! What a great way to connect with others in your church.
- Available & Wanted – This section is for letting your church family know when you are in need of, or can provide, any of the following:
- Housing & Rooms for Rent
- Employment
- Services (Babysitting, etc.)
- Rides to Church
To place your free ad for any of the above, fill out the form at the Community Board and turn it in to the Welcome Desk on Sunday morning, or contact the church office through the week.
